Testimonials
See what people say about the support they have received.
Over the past four years, the EHA traded service has provided support to over 3,000 children and young people through individual, group and classroom interventions. Schools have reported that our Emotional Health Workers have had a positive impact in the school and lessened the load on existing ELSAs.
In addition the Emotional Health Triage service has helped over 2,000 children, young people and their families to get the right support to meet their needs, including many who have been referred on to the EHA's own Cognitive Behavioural Therapy based support service.
"Helped me feel comfortable talking about things and found strategies to control situations at home that would stress me out." Child | "Thank you ever so much for your constant support, which as been a light in the dark quite honestly! We will be forever grateful." Parent |
"I like that the EHA are great at getting the worries out of children's heads and to give them things to do when they have worries." Child | "I have noticed a clear impact on how my child communicates her needs at home more constructively, and has been less anxious about going to school." Parent |
"We find it really useful to have our EHW as a point of contact and to be able to refer children for sessions, and they are usually seen promptly. It is great to be able to offer this pastoral support to children and families." School | "We have been calling for this type of intervention for over 20 years, and it's working right here in West Berkshire. "It is rightly attracting attention UK wide and beyond as others look to create their own EHAs. It is something that we should be hugely proud of and I would like to see it happening absolutely everywhere." Richard Benyon, former MP, now The Rt Hon. the Lord Benyon |
