Eco-Schools and Sustainability Education
Support for schools and local communities in improving education around sustainability
Eco-Schools
As part of the Eco-Schools programme, schools and pupils are empowered and motivated to drive change and improve their environmental awareness to achieve the Green Flag accreditation.
Using the ten Eco-Schools topics, schools and students can work on improving their sustainability. The topics include:
- biodiversity
- energy
- global citizenship
- healthy living
- litter
- marine
- school grounds
- transport
- waste
- water
We currently have over 40 schools enrolled in the programme. Could yours join too?
Schools can email the Environment Team at environment@westberks.gov.uk for help signing up.
