Repairs and maintenance
You might just need some help with small DIY jobs or looking after parts of your home. For example, small jobs like changing a light bulb, replacing a washer on a tap, decorating or fitting locks or smoke alarms. Age UK offer a handyperson service for anyone over 50, or for other adults considered as vulnerable.
If you have a larger or more complicated task, you can find checked and reviewed tradespeople on the Checkatrade website. If you're planning home adaptations, the Building Control Solutions team have guidance on choosing a builder. You may also be eligible for a disabled facilities grant for home adaptations.
